Weather warning for possible violent thunderstorms in Florence and in the Florentine area
Tomorrow, Wednesday 28 September 2022, yellow alert in Florence and in the Florentine area for possible violent storms and consequent hydrogeological / hydraulic risk in the so-called ‘minor lattice’ which in Florence includes secondary watercourses (especially Ema, Mugnone and Terzolle).
This was reported by the regional functional center in the new criticality assessment bulletin. The alert will go off at 15 on Wednesday 28 September and will end at 24 on the same day. Get to know the Metropolitan Civil Protection, the alert will be in force throughout the metropolitan city with the exception of the R2 Romagna-Tuscany area (Alto Mugello).

RAIN: today, Tuesday, scattered precipitations, locally with a reverse character, more frequent in the central-northern inland areas. Accumulations not significant.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, scattered rains in the morning and in the afternoon, more widespread in the evening, when they can take on thunderstorms. Significant average cumulative in the northern areas, locally abundant maximums, locally strong intensity.

WIND: today, Tuesday, Libeccio winds with strong gusts on the northern Archipelago (in particular on Capraia and Gorgona), on the Livorno and Pisan coast and on the leeward slopes of the Apennines. After an attenuation in the night and in the morning of tomorrow, Wednesday, new reinforcement in the afternoon; local strong gusts on the northern archipelago, on the Livorno coast and on the leeward slopes of the Apennines.
