The Brno People’s Party Hladík longs for a coalition. He went to the mayoress with a bouquet Elections | Brno Gossip
People in Brno would like to enter into a coalition with the winner of the municipal elections, despite the disputes so far. They started negotiations with ODS and TOP 09, the current mayor Markéta Vaňková (ODS) is approaching. Petr Hladík decided to break the ice with KDU-ČSL leader Petr Hladík with a bouquet that he brought to Vaňková before the meeting.
In Brno, Hladík would like to preserve the current coalition in the city management, which consists of the ODS, People’s Party, Pirates and ČSSD, or copy the government coalition. Vaňková will negotiate with all parties that exceeded the five percent threshold, and will evaluate the negotiations at the weekend. At the same time, she admitted that, unlike Monday’s meeting with ANO, the meeting with Lidovci and STAN will be repeated.
After handing over the bouquet, Vaňková and Hladík talked about program priorities and tasks and specific people who would represent them. However, the negotiations between the sokas for the post of mayor could disrupt the tension that has been felt in politics lately.
For a long time, they do not agree on the issue of the territorial plan, and at press conferences they resolve disagreements on sick topics. Hladík strongly leaned against the mayor before the election also because of her statement in a televised political debate. At that time, Vaňková declared that after the elections she would like to negotiate with everyone, including the SPD.
A quarter of the voters in Brno were won by the ODS coalition with TOP 09, which has sixteen mandates among fifty-five representatives. The second ANO received thirteen mandates, the third KDU-ČSL ten. Six mandates are held by the SPD, Trikolor and Moravians, four by the Pirates and three each by the ČSSD and the Greens with Žít Brno. On Monday, ODS and TOP 09 negotiated with ANO, today with Lidovci. On Thursday, the likely winner will meet with the SPD and then with the Pirates, on Friday she should conclude a meeting with the Greens, Žít Brno and ČSSD.
