Regional network 4 for Prague and central Bohemia is awaiting changes, temporarily start DVB-T2 transmitter Zelený pruh
At the end of September, according to information from the editors of the Digital Radio portal, the broadcast of Anténa+ pay TV in the Regional Network 4 offer on the Praha channel from the Strahov and Ládví transmitters will end. At the same time, operation of the Green Lane dimension will be temporarily interrupted. Praha TV, which will remain the only program in the multiplex, will change the coding.
Satellite television operator Skylink will end the technical operation of its paid terrestrial service Anténa+ at the end of this month. This step will consist in disconnecting the programs in the DVB-T2 multiplex broadcast on channel 46 from the Prague transmitters Strahov, Ládví and Zelený pruh. This is de facto only a symbolic step, because the programs are still distributed in the digital network, but they are no longer available to end viewers after the service has ended.
At the same time, the company’s technicians are counting on switching the metropolitan station Praha TV from H.265/HEVC encoding to H.264/AVC. Multiplex continues to use the DVB-T2 standard and is possibly ready for the arrival of other interested customers. From the end of September, Praha TV will be the only program broadcast on Regional Network 4. Due to construction work on the Green Lane building, the transmitter will also be switched off for an unspecified period of time.
