Letter to the editor – refusal to publish letter to the editor
On Thursday, September 22, I sent a letter to both national newspapers asking them to publish it (length: 2500 characters). He appeared in the “Volksblatt”! In the “Fatherland” they refused, apparently because of the length of the die. The “Fatherland” officially limits the length of letters to the editor to 2000 characters. It is questionable to regrettable that “Vaterland” and “Volksblatt” are not able to offer the same solution in terms of the length of letters to the editor. This in the sense of impartial and open information to the reader. So in “Fatherland” I had to withhold 500 characters from the reader. I shortened the said letter to the editor for the “Fatherland” to 1975 characters and so it appeared on Saturday (September 24). But my war surprise. In addition to my letter to the editor, a letter to the editor by Reinhard Walser on the subject of electricity prices was also printed, this certainly had more than 2500 characters. Isn’t it measured with different cubits here, depending on the letter to the editor? Or has the “Fatherland” now adopted the rule of the “Volksblatt”? I ask for information. I was not able to express my thanks to the AHV initiators Johannes Kaiser and Manfred Kaufmann and the members of the state parliament who entered, as well as my regret that other groups such as VU and FBP seniors and others did not actively express themselves in this AHV matter. So what I did afterwards.
