On September 25, at 11:25 p.m., a masked perpetrator entered a gas station on Wiener Bundesstrasse, in the municipality of Hallwang. At the time of the robbery, a 24-year-old gas station attendant was alone in the gas station.

The perpetrator approached the checkout area, took a revolver out of the right jacket pocket and demanded cash. Otherwise, he threatened to shoot the 24-year-old, otherwise he handed the perpetrator all the cash, a small amount of change.

Empty register

The perpetrator then asked him to go with him to the gas station office, where the perpetrator searched several shops and boxes. The perpetrator then asked the 24-year-old to go back to the checkout area with him to open the second checkout there. However, this was empty. The perpetrator then left the gas station and fled on foot in the direction of the city centre.

The gas station attendant described the perpetrator as approximately 180 to 190 centimeters tall, probably a foreigner due to his accent, dressed in dark clothing and wearing a white FFP-2 mask. The suspect backed up his demands with a black revolver during the crime.

Raid over in minutes

In the course of the video evaluation, the police officers found that the perpetrator entered the gas station premises about seven minutes before the actual robbery. At the same time, an uninvolved car drove to the gas station, which is why the perpetrator simply crossed the site and stayed in the area of ​​the car wash until the vehicle left the gas station again.

Only after the uninvolved vehicle had left did the offender enter the petrol station shop at 11:25 p.m. and left it again after about eight minutes, at around 11:34 p.m. Nobody was injured in the raid. All search activities have so far been negative. Further investigations are being conducted by the Salzburg State Criminal Police Office.
