The Spartans get back into the rhythm of the match when they host Vítkovice on Tuesday, September 27 from 6:30 p.m. Coach Pavel Patera’s men want to go on to win against Pilsen and break the points competition from Ostrava. You can watch the match live on the Hokejka TV station, or via the text online transmission of onliney.com.
The Spartans made up for their defeat, the captain decided
Our team has behind it the results of a successful match against Pilsen, which is struggling so far this season. In addition, the Spartans needed to catch up, as they were not enough against Olomouc in the previous match. Our hockey players used the chance to make amends when they beat Pilsen 3:2. The Spartans led from the beginning, and after two games of reducing the opponent’s goals, they finally came to a valuable victory. The decisive hit was provided by captain Michal Řepík, who scored three points.
“We didn’t play an easy game, but the boys played well. I think we outplayed Pilsen, and even though they got to us at times, we scored important goals. It’s a shame we didn’t score earlier because we could have been 2-0 up after the first period. But it could also be the other way around after the first minute. (smiles) We are happy for the three points because they are important at the beginning of the season,” goalkeeper Josef Kořenář commented after the second home win.
Vítkovice is still rolling, they even beat the champion
Ostrava residents can be very satisfied with the course of the season so far. In the first four rounds, Vítkovic hockey players scored points every time, moreover, they only lost two out of a possible twelve points. The team around striker Peter Mueller last stepped up to Třinec, where they lost three times during the match. The team from Ostrava finally ended the match in the third period and decided their success 5:3 with three quick goals. Vítkovice are currently warming up in first place in the table and will try to extend their point streak even on Sparta’s ice. Whether they will be successful or not, we will find out later in the evening on Tuesday, September 27.

Seven points and two wins. Sparta can do it in Vítkovice
In the past year, the Spartans met Vítkovice four times and enjoyed success twice. They won 3:1 in the opening match, but subsequently lost 2:3 in Ostrava, but in the return match again at the opponent’s rink, they did not oblige, scoring three goals for a 4:1 win. The win was managed by Řepík and Erik Thorell. So far, the last matchup with Vítkovice sounded better for the opponent, who took two points for a win in raids in Prague. Our team thus lost to Rider 2:3. Who will rejoice at the start of the new year?
