Prague 2 is a stronghold of the ODS. Since 1994, no other mayor has ruled here. Outside the ODS, Petr Brodský from the ODA was the last official herewho was replaced in 1994 by Libor Krátký (ODS).
The current Ministry of Defense was the mayor here for the longest time Jana Černochová (ODS), in the years 2006 to 2010, and subsequently from 2012 to 2021, after her entry into the ministry, she took over the office as mayor Alexandra Uzheniya (ODS). She has a chance to be re-elected as mayor, for example if renewal of the existing coalition.
In 2018, the ODS won the elections in Prague 2 with 32.3 percent of the vote and 13 mandates. The Pirates finished second with a gain of 19.4 percent and seven mandates, and the coalition of the People’s Party, the Greens, the ČSSD and independents came third with 11.4 percent of the vote and four seats. A renewed coalition?
If we were to recalculate the current representatives on the basis of the previous coalition, it gives the current leadership a chance to continue the divided work. ODS with TOP 09 have a total of 14 mandates. If YES were to join with its 4 seats, it adds up to a narrow majority of 18. The leader of the winning candidates was the current mayor Alexandra Udženija.
With regard to how the ODS and TOP 09 and ANO define themselves at the national level, the question is whether the coalition will continue in this form. They are waiting for a chance in the background Pirates, beer i Prague 2 to each otherwhich is new to the council, as well as SPD.
