San Marino. Personal data: training course from ISS is underway
“The Institute for Social Security has recently started a training course for all employees, health and non-health, who process personal data”.

In fact, privacy is a fundamental human right and must be protected. The refresher courses on the processing of personal data are therefore essential and indispensable because they know their rights and defend them, especially from hackers and other criminals. And at the same time, for a public body, especially the ISS that processes health data, as well as an obligation and a precise legal duty, respect for privacy is one of the cornerstones in the relationship with the client from a perspective of user protection and transparency.
It is with this impulse that the Director General of the ISS, dr. Francesco Bevere, from the moment of his inauguration, undertook a path so that the staff of the Institute received adequate training on the subject.
The course he has taken in recent days is part of the continuing and mandatory training of ISS staff and in strict compliance with the recent legislation on privacy.
The update involves almost all ISS employees and is aimed at all those who in various ways process personal data, with a view not only aimed at acquisition, management and storage, but also with regard to safety and protection.
Specifically, the issues dealt with relating to the discipline of the processing of personal data (definitions, principles and general legal bases, retention times, etc …); the “privacy roles”, such as the owner, the joint controllers, the data processors, the recipients, the authorized persons, the DPO and the interested parties; the main obligations (the processing register, supplier management, internal staff management, information systems security, risk analysis, management of security incidents, management of requests for the exercise of rights by interested parties, impact assessment , the information on the processing of personal data) and the rules and good practices for the correct use of IT tools.
The course is divided into several lessons to allow the participation of all the ISS personnel involved and is also carried out in collaboration with external experts “.
