A popular outing to the Dijon opera for children from the Les Mains d’or association
Sunday, September 18, fourteen children from the association Les Mains d’or left from the Baudon-Rostand school for the Dijon opera. The goal was to attend a symphony concert by the Frankfurt Orchestra. Between the virtuosity of Rachmaninoff’s “Concerto No. 3”, a spectacular demonstration of compositional technique, and the orientalist enchantment of Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade”, two of the masterpieces of the Russian Pantheon, the children were enchanted by the virtuosity of exceptional performers. Back around 9 p.m., everyone shared with their family the emotions of this exceptional day in an equally exceptional room.
A next trip is planned in December for the children and adults of this association. Direction Dijon to listen to a work by Sergueï Prokofiev, performed by the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, under the musical direction and violin of Renaud Capuçon. this association has long since set up these symphonic journeys for children. Today is a dream come true. The association Les Mains d’or thanked the City of Nogent for the free loan of minibuses.
