South of Toulouse: chicken, kefta, vodka and drugs in the package “delivered” to Seysses prison
A package was discovered overnight from Wednesday to Thursday by prison guards. Intended for prisoners, it was filled with products of all kinds.
The scourge of projectors who throw all sorts of “gifts” for prisoners over the walls of the Seysses penitentiary center is a well-known phenomenon. This time, the supervisors literally came across a package overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. Inside, the sender had slipped some sweets.
The delivery man hopes that his accomplice(s) in the prison will recover three kilos of minced meat, two kilos of chicken, at least one kilo of sweets, kefta bread, five packets of spices such as turmeric or chilli, but also tobacco, yeast or even a bottle of vodka mixed with apricot juice. What greatly improve the conditions of detention of the recipient who could also become a dealer in the establishment.
Indeed, 10 grams of amnesia herb and 145 grams of cannabis completed this gift package provided at the level of the support service towards the exit (SAS), a sector for the less severe sentences.
Prison unions worried
This new discovery worries the prison guards’ union (SPS) which is protesting, through the voice of its local secretary. “We think we might be surprised not to find a mobile phone, but we think that our residents are all already well equipped inside our walls, he quips. Securing the domain must be the priority of the local management and the interregional director”.
The representative of the SPS asks “the granting of resources as quickly as for the weight benches in the yard”. He describes anxiety-provoking working conditions for prison guards who “subject, on a daily basis, to this nocturnal threat to their prison area”.
In view of the large quantity of cannabis resin, the trade unionist wonders: “Will the SAS become a new hub for Toulouse narcotics trafficking? He enjoined: “There is an urgent need to install expanded metal at the level of the windows. About ten centimeters was enough and prevented any desire for distributions”.
