Mauro Giuliani’s music also conquers Cremona. The appointment with the book “Journey to Vienna”
As part of the Cremona International Exhibition in progress from 23 to 25 September, an important event dedicated to music and musical instruments, today, Saturday 24 from 15 to 18, the conference “The guitar in the 19th century ‘will be held. On this occasion, the new book by Nicola Giuliani entitled “Journey to Vienna. Giuliani tells Giuliani ”.
Some pieces by the great composer from Bisceglie will be performed by Maestro Francesco Taranto.
The volume of our fellow citizen, recently published publicly by De Ferrari, has already found favor and applause from during Libri nel Borgo Antico and has aroused much interest in the academic world and musicologists.
Paolo Bolpagni himself, director of the Ragghianti foundation in Lucca, expresses himself so broadly in the preface of the book: «There was a strong need for a well-documented monograph dedicated to Mauro Giuliani, who can truly be considered the inventor of modern guitar literature. He was truly what Nicolò Paganini represented for the violin and partly Franz Liszt for the piano ».
