man due to be deported assaulted by cops, flight canceled
The police officers were victims of bites, blows on the head and spitting on the part of this individual who was to be accompanied back to his country of origin. It will pass in immediate comparison this Monday.
An individual accused of violence against several police officers was placed in police custody on Thursday, BFM Marseille Provence informed a police source.
Known to the police, the man in his twenties was to be expelled from French territory, to his country of origin. This is why he was escorted by three border police officers from Marseille Provence airport to his plane. But the officers were then bitten, headbutted and spat on by the individual.
Because of this violence, the captain refused to take off the plane, and canceled the flight.
The man denied the acts of violence
The man who was to be expelled was then taken back to the border police station based in Marignane. After the first hearings, he denied the alleged acts of violence.
If he assured that he had not refused to fly to his country of origin, he explained that he was unhappy to have been strapped for the trip, which led to spitting. He was taken into custody and will go into immediate comparison on Monday. For their part, the three officials filed a complaint and received several days of ITT.
