League of Nations: how Portugal accounts
Portugal enters the field this Saturday against the Czech Republic with a clear idea: it is forbidden to lose. Only in this scenario can the national team be removed from the final four of the League of Nations.
Portugal has one point less than Spain and losing in Prague and the Spaniards beating Switzerland at home guarantees qualification.
Therefore, in the accounts of the team in Group A2 of the competition, it is mandatory to score points to send the decision to Braga, against the neighboring country. A victory seeks, however, another certainty for Portugal.
The bills for this Saturday are as follows:
Spain qualify if they win and Portugal lose. It can no longer be demoted.
Portugal You need to score points to stay in the fight for the final phase: if you win Rep. The Czech Republic and Spain do not win, Portugal will go to the front of the group and Switzerland will only draw with the Spaniards, in Braga, on Tuesday. Portugal will also be safe from relegation to League B of the League of Nations if they draw or Switzerland lose.
Rep. Czech still have hope of reaching the finals. You have to beat Portugal and hope that Spain doesn’t win Switzerland. They are saved from relegation if they win and Switzerland loses.
