TEHRAN – Three Iranian galleries are participating in the seventh edition of WopArt – Works on Paper Fair, an international art fair currently taking place in Lugano, Switzerland.
Iris Contemporary Space, Mojdeh Gallery and Saye Gallery are showing works by several Iranian artists at the international art fair dedicated to works on paper.
Iris Contemporary Space has selected works by Negar Zonubi, Marjan Qorbani and Hedyeh Khanali for the art fair, which opened on Friday and will run for three days.
Based in Tehran, Iris Contemporary Space was founded in July 2021 to focus on contemporary art. The center is a platform for mostly site-specific events, mostly with experimental and unconventional art exhibition formats.
It aims to expand the gallery’s exhibitions through outsourcing and believes in collaboration and the possibility of using alternative spaces and offering a different way of exhibiting art.

The Mojdeh gallery shows works by Ahad Qadiri. The Art Center in Tehran was founded in 1999 by Mojdeh Tabatabai.
The aim of the gallery is to host exhibitions for masters and young artists to give them the opportunity to gain a foothold in the global art market.
It also intends to provide opportunities for young aspiring artists and experienced artists to conduct research in the field of contemporary and modern Iranian art.
The gallery strives to expand cultural, artistic and economic exchanges between the artistic community of Iran and other countries.
