The EC calls on Slovenia to transpose five directives into national legislation
LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 22 (SeeNews) – The European Commission (EC) has called on Slovenia to fully transpose directives on working conditions, company law, entrepreneurship, sustainable finance and the reconciliation of professional and private life for parents and guardians into national legislation. .
The Commission sent an official reminder to Slovenia about the unresolved issues in those areas that the country must resolve, they wrote in the message.
The EC urges Slovenia to fulfill the requirements of the directive on transparent and predictable working conditions, which gives workers the right to greater predictability of schedules and working hours, as well as timely and more complete information about essential aspects of their work. work, such as workplace and pay, notes the EC.
The Commission called on Slovenia to comply with the Directive on second chances for entrepreneurs with new rules that ensure the conditions for the survival of viable companies in financial difficulties for early restructuring to avoid bankruptcy.
Slovenia must also comply with the rules on sustainable financing, which require the inclusion of sustainability factors and goals in the product management process, rules for streamlining company rules on digital tools and processes, and the directive on the reconciliation of professional and private life, which ensures that fathers/other parents have the right take advantage of at least ten working days of paternity leave upon the birth of a child.
The country now has two months to respond to formal reminders and complete their transfer, or the Commission may decide to issue a reasoned opinion.
