St. Pio has been a homeless father for 18 years
In a few days, on September 23, St. Padre Pio will celebrate his 18th birthday. An organization that has been helping the homeless for years, who are often excluded, marginalized, and all lonely and imprisoned in abused stereotypes.
– Two Help Centers, 13 upper flats for the homeless, tens of thousands of thousands of supervisors, bathing and visits to the wardrobe and laundry room, and above all, hundreds of stories of people at home, we managed to gain access to better organization of the departments with donors and media. It started with two makeshift barracks
For very much, the remedial initiative has repaired itself to lead for the poor and the post office. – Everything was housed in two makeshift barracks in the Capuchin garden at ul. Loretańska 11 in Krakow. Nobody at that time thought that over time the Work would grow into the only organization in Poland that would comprehensively help the homeless to feast on – says no.

In 2012, the Work started a supported housing project. The first two apartments of this type were opened for the homeless, including entire families and single mothers with children. Today Dzieło runs 13 apartments of this type. – So far, more than 130 homeless people have used them, 60 of them have become independent and today lead an easy and dignified life – sums up Nosek.
A year later, the second St. Padre Pio at ul. Smoleńsk 4. The five-storey, modern building is entirely a sacrifice to the homeless. – I found the work on the Christmas Eve for the poor. For many years I used to bathe, bathe, and come for medications. After a long time, Mr. Mateusz, a social worker, persuaded me to stay in a shelter and treat depression. St. Pio is owned by the public benefit. The organization, through Capuchin brothers and volunteers, accompanies the homeless on their way to an independent life. Professional and social support provided over 1,600 annually.
For many years, he has also been involved in social campaigns, striving to achieve his goal with attention to the problem of homelessness. It becomes the same voice of the forgotten, marginalized and imprisoned in harmful stereotypes of people without a home.
