Andorra signs a dream start
The category jump is never easy for a team, but perhaps one of the most costly (such as promotion to First Division) is promotion to Second Division. In a summer he goes from the 1st RFEF to professional football, with all that this entails for both the team and the club. But Andorra, for the moment, is not that they are not noticing the change, it is that they have adapted wonderfully to it. With 10 points to their credit they are ninth, tied in points with fifth. Only the average goal separates them from the promotion playoff positions to First Division.
Eder Sarabia said this week that he is “optimistic” and that he did expect such a good start for the team. He knows that he has a squad with potential on his hands and is leaving a very good image at this start of the championship. The last game against Eibar is the best example of this. Because it’s not just the points, that too, but the way to get them. Andorra was manifestly superior to a team with a very recent past in the First Division, which they subdued for much of the game. They enjoyed numerous chances to score more goals and probably didn’t suffer at the back. A “round” match that perfectly exemplifies what Andorra is at this point in the championship.
Sarabia, however, also warned that no type of relaxation or trust is worth. He said that in case of falling into such sins the category “quickly puts you in your place”. A reality that knows perfectly well the rest of the teams that have been battling for years in a league as complicated, long and competitive as the Second Division.
Now Andorra has a great challenge ahead of it, which is none other than to stabilize, at least, in the quiet places in the table. meThis weekend they visit Albacete, another of the recently promoted teams, before receiving Levante at home. When the Granotas visit the Pyrenean country, they will be the third to do so, Andorra will have received Granada, Eibar and Levante. Three of the strongest teams, a priori, in the championship, which further reinforces the work that the tricolor team is doing.
