The month of September is an opportunity for associations and dance venues to showcase their know-how. The objective: to seduce neophytes and also recover customers lost since the health crisis.

Here is a list of events in the Pink City to test, dance and, why not, transform the test. Attention, non-exhaustive selection…

  • Until Saturday September 10: Tangueando Toulouse (51, rue de Bayard) organizes free initiations, with one-hour sessions every day from Monday to Saturday. It is without prior registration. www.tangueando.fr
  • Until Saturday September 10: the center Amplitude Dance, at Les Minimes (31 ter, rue Pierre d’Aragon) offer a trial lesson. The Open Doors are reserved for the last week before the Christmas holidays, for parents to attend their children’s lessons.
  • From Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 September: open days with various activities and several dance styles at the Rolbar space in Colomiers (11, avenue du Louron). It’s organized by the dance workshop Juvia Art, specialized in oriental dances. Cassandra will welcome you with pleasure!
  • Until Sunday, September 11: the James Carlès choreographic center (51 bis, rue des Amidonniers) has already resumed its activities. The Place des Amidonniers, at the origin of the Danses et continents noirs festival, offers open doors until Sunday September 11, 2022 with five free classes to choose from. jamescarles.com
  • Sunday September 11: the club 144 (144, rue de la providence, Camille Pujol-Chaubet district) set up a big day of public reception with presentation of the lessons but also a draw to win a quarter of dance lessons! Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
    Another initiative: lessons are free for beginners until Saturday September 17, 2022 in this eclectic place (zumba, rock, cabaret, dance kids, charleston…).

  • From September 12 to 23: direction the Am Métis space with a trial session for each course. Cuban, African dances, for children… The choice is yours! Info on danse-cours.com
  • From September 12 to 22: Punta Talon Academy, this is THE place to learn Colombian salsa in the Pink City. For ten days, you can participate in all courses once for free.
  • Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 September: do you like tango? The Manding’Art (1 bis, rue du Docteur Paul Pujol) opens its doors to you for two days (Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday 14 from 6 p.m.). The first discovery course is offered. mandingart.fr
  • From Tuesday 13 to Thursday 15 September: to Dance of In de la Roseraie (135, avenue de Lavaur). Free trial lesson and it’s without reservation. Website: www.danc-in-roseraie.com
  • Until Saturday September 17: Snacks-DancesPurpan district (82, route de Bayonne), offers free open doors until Saturday, September 17, 2022. Online registration (encas-danses.com) is mandatory.
    The venue is also offering a free West Coast Swing party, Saturday, September 10, 2022.
