Exhibition opening: Art exhibition “The Selection” in the Hofburg
On September 1st, the Christmas exhibition “Die Wahl”, which had been canceled due to Corona, was opened in the rooms of the Innsbruck Hofburg. The exhibition shows works by Bernhard Dietl, Jaru, Stefanie Kamrath, Dieter List, Ingeborg Rauss, Renée Rauchalles, Lilo Scheuer-Hagenmüller and Madlen Wrobel.
Curator Bertrand Kass received visitors and artists together with musical support from the Trio Taktvoll. The event was opened with a speech by Elfriede Moser. “I painted the artwork based on the motif of creativity.
Images that appear unspectacular at first glance have a captivating effect. The dots by the Cologne-based artist Lilo Scheuer-Hagenmüller have a deeper meaning: “There are fifty pictures in total with different dots, all together they form the total work of art “Deceleration”. When you stand in front of the pictures, you realize that you get stuck and perceive every small change in the pictures. According to the artist, the only thing that all the images have in common is that the colored dot is in the same place and the sizes are the same. “It’s so powerful, even though it’s so quiet,” says Scheuer-Hagenmüller.
opening hours
The exhibition runs until September 25th. open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Take the opportunity and take a look at the works of art by the eight artists in the foyer of the Hofburg, which are well worth seeing.
