Lhe IRM issued a yellow storm alert this Saturday, with sometimes quite intense showers which will slowly rise from the Ardennes towards the north of the country during the afternoon. In places, accumulations close to or greater than 10 l/m2 in one hour will be possible.
These showers will disappear during the night to give way to variable weather with periods of sunny spells interspersed with rainy periods and sometimes stormy showers.
On Sunday, the greyness will thus be fairly complete in the morning, then the sunny spells will gradually return during the day. The sun will at times be obscured by cumulus clouds. It will be hot with maximums of 23 degrees by the sea and on the heights of the Ardennes to 28 degrees locally in the other regions.
Overnight Sunday to Monday, the weather will become dry and skies will clear. The minima will be between 12 and 17 degrees. The next day will start with sunshine and high clouds, most of them over the West. In the afternoon, rain and stormy showers will reach our country by the coast and the French border. Precipitation will become widespread during the evening and the following night. The maxima will vary between 24 degrees on the coast and in places still 31 degrees in the center. However, noticeably cooler air will accompany the deterioration at the end of the day.
Tuesday, beautiful sunny periods will mark the morning before a new deterioration (stormy) for the evening and the following night. The maxima, still quite high, will oscillate between 21 and 26 degrees.
Wednesday, after dissipation of the possible morning greyness, clearings will share the sky with cloudy fields. Some weak precipitation will hang locally on the Ardennes relief. In the evening, new showers in places accompanied by thunderstorms could invade our country via France and the coast.
On Thursday, generous sunny spells will sometimes alternate again with cloudy periods. Some localized showers will still be possible while the maxima will range from 20 to 23 degrees.
Friday, the cloudiness remains variable with a risk of showers again more marked and the possibility of a few thunderclaps. The southwesterly wind strengthened to become moderate to fairly strong in places. The maximums will be between 17 and 22 degrees then will drop below 20 degrees on Saturday.
