Belgium in a friendly against Egypt
It is now official. Belgium will do battle with Egypt, five days before entering the Qatari World Cup. This meeting will be played on Friday, November 18 at 2 p.m. GMT at the Jaber Stadium in Kuwait City.
The Belgian Football Federation confirmed this meeting in a post on Twitter. Indeed, the coach of the Red Devils, Roberto Martinez declares: “This will give us the opportunity to prepare for this great tournament by offering the best possible time which we will not be offering. To this expectation, facing an African opponent in a Middle Eastern country meets all the criteria related to our preparation. »

Belgium’s first match of the group stage will be against Canada on Wednesday 23 November. The Red Devils will then face Morocco on Sunday November 27 and Croatia on Thursday December 1.
As a reminder, Egypt is not qualified for the final phase after losing the play-offs against the Teranga Lions of Senegal.
