The Andorran Government presents the Draft Law on measures for the self-employed worker
ANDORRA LA VELLA (ANDORRA), 1 Sep. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Minister for the Presidency, Economy and Business of the Government of Andorra, Jordi Gallardo, and the Secretary of State for the Economy, Èric Bartolomé, presented this Thursday the Draft Law on measures for self-employed workers.
The modification responds to a repeated demand from the sector, which claimed “to be assimilated to wage earners in some rights and obligations,” the Executive reported in a statement.
The Bill seeks to promote self-employment as a productivity resource for the Andorran economy, “valuing it and improving the conditions for its development”, especially in terms of reconciling work and family, contribution conditions, dependence on a single client and fiscal measures.
In this way, one of the main objectives of the Government with these is to provide legal certainty to workers whose professional activity depends, at least 80%, on a single client.
“It is a package of measures that has to help self-employed workers to continue to have the weight in the Andorran economy that they have historically had,” Gallardo pointed out.
