Chisinau, 1 Sep. /MOLDPRES/. The educational process in the pre-university institutions of the Republic of Moldova began today, traditionally on September 1, with the organization of solemn squares, on the occasion of the “First ringing of the bell”, reports MOLDPRES.

Students from pre-university, professional-technical education, college and university students returned to classes on September 1, with physical presence.

The Ministry of Education and Research issued an Order stipulating that the first hour of study on September 1 will be devoted to the Year of Gratitude, dedicated to the heroes who fell in combat actions for the defense of the territorial integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova.

More than 1,200 schools are active in the Republic of Moldova, where about three hundred thousand students study. Most of the institutions are of secondary level.
