It is a “new generation” park and ride that will welcome travelers from the Tisséo network from this Monday, August 29, 2022, at the station Basso Camboone of the two terminuses of line A of the metro, at Toulouse.

Nearly 800 parking spaces

The existing park and ride facility has been modified to provide more spaces with the construction of a five-storey car park.

With these new developments, the parking capacity of the site increased by 60%, with 780 seats : 480 in the multi-storey car park and 300 on the surface. Parking will be free for Tisséo travellers, provided they have made a round trip and validated a transport ticket.

Other users could use it as a classic car park.

Guarded bicycle parking

Other developments are planned in the weeks and months to come. Thus, a new bike park with around 100 spaces, with four spaces dedicated to cargo bikes will be deployed within the south park and ride before the end of September. A glazed car park which will be placed under video surveillance.

Bicycles could also be parked on one of the 21 hoops placed under the silo parking ramp. These parks will be located along a path that leads to the Basso Cambo business area.

A new bike path must also see the light of day by 2023, on the north-south axis of the hub of exchange.

Soon charging stations

Also to come are charging stations for electric vehicles which, according to Tisséo estimates, will have to be operational in 2023.

Bus parking

By the end of September, the ground floor of the new multi-storey car park will have eight parking spaces for buses. A sixth floor will be reserved for employees who occupy the offices of an adjacent building project.

On the ground floor, a commercial and service space of 140 m² is planned.
