Super League – Toulouse Olympique too fair against Hull FC – Rugby League
Toulouse Olympique, already relegated, traveled to England to face Hull FC on the penultimate day of the Super League.
With a very revamped team and a new look hinge, Toulouse Olympique suffered from the start of the match. Harvey Barron scored twice in the first quarter of an hour to put his team on the right track, 12-0. Will Gardiner and Mitieli Vulikijapani each tried their best to make the break and the English were already leading 24-0 after 25 minutes of play.
If Toulouse tries to raise their heads, Sylvain Houles’ players do not find the fault in the first act. At the break, the Airlie Birds lead 24-0.
Toulouse saves honor
The beginning of the second act is balanced and no points are scored for 20 minutes. It is finally Guy Armitage who unlocks the Toulouse counter. But the response is immediate, Ellis Longstaff scores in turn, 28-6. It was then Jordan Lane who scored Hull FC’s sixth try before Ilias Bergal scored from a corner, 34-12.
But this is not the final score since on the horn, the English add a try, Mitieli Vulikijapani offers himself a double for a final victory 38 to 12.
