Russia is deploying a “volunteer” army corps to the front. What is this connection?

Russia is deploying a third army corps to the newly formed “volunteers” or to that part of it that it considers combat-ready, Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) investigators say. What kind of military unit is this and is it capable of changing the situation at the front?
How holding CIT investigators, volunteers of the team in the last days of observing photos and videos of the transportation of Russian equipment by rail. The footage shows the full composition of the Buk complex, T-80BV and T-90 M tanks. According to the Russian Railways database, the trains follow from Mulino (Nizhny Novgorod region) to the Neklinovka station in the Rostov region near the border with Ukraine.
“They came from Mulino on August 22 and 24, respectively, which is approximately the time of the gathering of the 3rd Army Corps assembled there, which was named by Ukrainian analyst Konstantin Mashovets and identified by our sources,” writes CIT.
Survival analysts that the transportation of Buk complexes is about the transfer of a large military association, for example, the army. In the event of an occurrence, according to the Conflict Intelligence Team, we are talking about sending the entire third army corps or to the place of occurrence of its part, which is considered combat-ready.
“So far it is impossible to say with certainty that it is the Russian command that will use the corps. However, the final point of the echelons (Neklinovka station), located in the south of the Rostov region, is closest to the Donetsk and Zaporozhye sectors of the front, ”CIT disaster.
How watching the analytical institution for the study of war (ISW), the “volunteer” battalions that make up the third Russian army corps are likely to be deployed to the Donetsk direction and southern Ukraine to replace offensives.
It is noted that in modern samples of Russian military equipment and weapons (for example, BMP-3, T-80BV and T-90M tanks, as well as new versions of the AK-12 assault rifle), the hull power has been increased. This may indicate that they intend to engage in offensive operations in the hope of restoring momentum in some volume or some sectors of the front, ISW says.
However, in the composition of the average army corps, “effective combat power is unlikely to appear”, which are part of the analytics. Better equipment does not necessarily turn units on more effectively if the personnel are not well trained or disciplined, as is the case for many “volunteer” units.
As emphasized in ISW, many representatives of the third army corps have no experience of participating in hostilities. Photos of the fighters of this corps indicate that among them there are “elderly and physically unsuitable” people. The effectiveness of entering the front of the “volunteer” army corps will also decrease due to the fact that the Russian Federation lacks experienced junior commanders, analysts say.
Messages about the transfer to the front of the third army corps commented Aleksey Arestovich, Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine, on the air of the Feigin Live YouTube channel. According to him, this new connection is not able to change the situation at the front when using the RF for a number of reasons.
“These 15 thousand, which they drag, drag and drop in different areas – will they build a whole 15 BTG from this? Even if they are thrown somewhere for one adaptation, it’s just about nothing. Especially with logistics problems, which we fragment them. Again, the quality of preparation. Who was recruited into this corps? It is not a problem to recruit people (although this was a problem for them), to make a problem out of them in the army. Where can I get the number of junior and not very junior commanders who will knock all this herd of reason into troops that are capable of something? Sergeants, lieutenants, captains, battalion commanders?”, — said the adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine.
About the dense new Russian army corps in the base in Mulino at the end of June reports in Ukraine. The head of the Kyiv military administration, Oleksandr Pavlyuk, did not rule out the possibility that military units from the associations took part in the attack on the Ukrainian capital.
Complaints from residents about the presence of “volunteers” in Mulino wrote Edition “Layout”. “Mulins say that they are afraid of publicity: civilians drink, rowdy and pester girls,” the publication quoted the words of the residents of the village.
On August 10, British military intelligence reported that Russia had almost certainly formed a new large formation of ground forces – the third army corps, based in Mulino, Nizhny Novgorod region. “Russian corps politicians have confirmed that the potential recruitment potential among the army sector is beneficial for receiving bonuses after arriving in Ukraine,” the British eastern intelligence report noted.
According to the British Ministry of Defense statistics, the Russian army corps usually consists of 15-20 thousand troops, but the third corps is likely to be difficult to bring up to this number, “given the very limited level of people flow regarding participation in hostilities in Ukraine.” The role of the Army’s Third Corps “is unlikely to be revealed for the campaign,” British intelligence pointed out.
