PRAGUE

Florenc doesn’t have a good character, I’ll get used to him for a long time, an architect

Sugar Mizzy August 28, 2022

How long will construction take?
This is a change in the earth’s tide, and that process is in a very advanced state. That’s step one, but we’re going to have an election. it often happens that the new political representation looks after them for some time. There will be a change in the fifth year as well. Next, individual houses will be designed. But the investor has to write an architectural statement on some objects, and that can be a year extra. The actual construction of the first houses will begin in 2027. However, this is only an estimate.

How did your work contribute to the project?
We have prepared a set of conditions for the country. The regulation is prepared as part of an agreement between the capital and investors to consider the conditions for construction. The public was involved for a very long time, and I don’t know of another city in Prague where there would be such a huge demand for change as in Florence. Even though the people in Prague are mostly conservative and the struggle is changing, this did not apply to one country.

what do you think it is?
The location does not have a good social reputation and is also completely inaccessible. Just the fact that the land will open up to the markets will mean a huge location for the surrounding locations in Novy Mst, or in Karln ik ikovu, and this is the most important benefit for the city from our point of view.

Philip Tittl

The architect from the UNIT architekti studio graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the BUT in Prague. His completed work was recognized as the best diploma project in R for 2010 and was nominated for the Archiprix award. In his practice, he is interested in urban planning and land development, so he deals with legislation.

We imagined the new connection as the main axis of the whole earth. And it will run from Tnovo, where the metro station Florenc is, towards ikov and to Husitsk street. In a city where there is nothing today, we invented a new place and a new public space. let’s call it Trocnovsk Square, because Trocnovsk Street is there. Nmst will thus be the next space on Vtkov.

What will happen to the Negrelli viaduct, its center is hidden in the area of the bus stop?
It won’t be near the bus stop. It will be possible to pass around the viaduct in the direction from ikov to the Museum of the Capital City of Prague. It is a completely new space that does not exist today. It will be the main p zna. Avoiding the railway and giving infrastructure was the most difficult part of the whole project. There are five railway lines and one is a draft house. I have invented a system and other five paths in different levels that lead to each other.

Will there be new parks in Florence?
The country itself is so small that I wouldn’t even consider it a park. Public spaces will not have a standard character. We have designed a series of six, seven small spaces that will have overgrown trees and green elements.

what changes so Tnov?
Even Tnov with the Museum of the Capital City of Prague has the potential to turn into a large park space. It is there by the park, but it needs renovation.

Ndra Florenc and the surroundings were transformed according to the Czech design, won the contest

What will change in the existing car traffic Florenc the dog?
The new construction will not interfere with the existing street in any way, the proposal will preserve the main lines in their existing condition. It also allows that in the future it could happen in some radical right, for example, the bridge is sometimes demolished with the main line to Tnov and replaced by a municipal boulevard. But that’s a problem for our children.

What about the new housing project?
We are talking about the sweat of 1,000 and 1,500 new residents in roughly seven hundred apartments. About half of the construction preparations will be done for the residence, the rest will be mainly administration. Prague, however, does not own the land, and these are projects of private investors. I assume that the forms of housing will be diverse because the majority of the area of the land is a bus shelter, which will remain in the land. I can imagine that there would be more flats above the land, not those designated for private ownership.

And what about the buses?
Ndra will remain in the same place, but will have more comfortable parameters. Around the origin of the street, and when you go there, you will notice that inside the buildings is a famous traffic hub, but hidden in the normal urban structure.

Won’t there be a problem with the byproducts produced by the buses going into the furnace of the building?
It’s nothing out of the ordinary, for example in Bratislava they even have a bus shelter underground and there are no problems with that. N project so with it, in the future the bus will run on electricity.

What is the role of the Institute of Agriculture and Development?
The latter is an important institution, their job is to coordinate everything that is happening with the land of Prague, including private investments and, of course, public investments.
