DIJON: Report of the Archive concert at La Vapeur
Following an operation by Darius Keeler, Archive postpones the European tour of Call to Arms & Angels.
Archive have announced the forced report from their European tour this year, following Darius Keeler’s cancer diagnosis.
The European tour was scheduled to take place in October and November and the band were expected to perform some of the biggest shows of their career to date.
Darius was accelerated from colon cancer late last month and underwent surgery in London shortly after diagnosis. The operation is a success and the prognosis for a full recovery is extremely favorable.
The band hoped that Darius would recover in time for the tour to go ahead as planned, but on the surgeon’s advice, it’s best to reschedule the tour so he can fully recover.
Darius said of the diagnosis and the tour, “It’s been such an emotional roller coaster since finding out I had cancer, especially after the battle that was creating Call To Arms & Angels. during Covid. I was looking forward to doing this tour more than any after being blocked from playing for so long. I am devastated by this report and can only apologize to the fans for the disappointment. I’ll be focusing on my fitness for the next few months and I’ll be back next year for an epic Archive tour! I miss you all and I send you all my love, see you in 2023! »
The rescheduled dates will take place over the same period of October-November in 2023. More info to come in September when the rescheduling has been finalized.
Tickets remain valid for the rescheduled dates, but fans can also get refunds from their point of sale.
