San Marino. The musician Monica Moroni in Beslan not to forget the massacre that took place 18 years ago
Monica Moroni, a musician from the Republic of San Marino, will be in Beslan in early September to give concerts so as not to make anyone forget the sadly known massacre that took place 18 years ago.
There Beslan massacre is the massacre that took place between 1st and 3rd September 2004 in school number 1 in Beslan, North Ossetia, an autonomous republic in the Caucasus region of the Russian Federation, where a group of 32 terrorists, Islamic fundamentalists and Chechen separatists occupied the school building, kidnapping about 1,200 adults and children.
Two days later, when the Russian special forces raided, a massacre began which caused the death of more than 300 people, including 186 children, and over 700 injured.
On September 1, right in Beslan, in North Ossetia, Russia, a solidarity test will come from musician Monica Moroni, citizen of the Republic of San Marino which, invited by the “Beslan Mothers Association” will hold a flute concert, with classical repertoire, before elementary school n. 1, which has now become the museum and the tangible reminder of the sacrifice of children and all the other innocent victims.
At the end of the concert, the musician Monica Moroni will deposit the flag of San Marino inside the museum as a sign of solidarity as there is a monument commemorating the tragedy on the Titan.
The next day, the San Marino musician will hold a second concert in the Beslan music hall.
