The A26 motorway was closed this Friday, August 26, 2022 between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. UN accident involving a single motorcycle occurred at the level of Mentque-Nortbecourt (Pas-de-Calais). The biker sadly passed away. Explanations.

The victim was a 37-year-old woman.

The drama took place in the Calais-Reims direction at 8:15 a.m. The firefighters intervened on the spot and found that the victim, a 37-year-old woman, was in cardiopulmonary arrest. Traffic lanes were cut in both directions in an attempt to rescue the 30-year-old.

Despite their efforts, firefighters and Smur were unable to revive the biker. The body of the victim was taken care of by the gendarmerie and the funeral directors. Traffic resumed around 9:30 a.m. on the A26.
