RANKING – a race of two qualifying races on Saturday. On Sunday, the races continue with semi-final and top races. 30 promotion places from the qualification, 10 promotion places to the final.
On Saturday 30th July the weather was cold, sunny and windy on Sunday. The track was demanding and tested the fitness of all competitors. On Saturday in the K1W category for Horšovský Týn, 2 competitors, the Hojda sisters, started fighting for 30 semi-final places. With a flawless and predatory second run, the victims advanced to Sunday’s minimum.
In the semi-finals, the younger Markéta took a beautiful 24th place, Eliška fought her way to the finals among the top 10. In the final run, in which she did not avoid three penalty touches, Eliška managed a wonderful 8th place overall. Among the older teenagers, where she belongs in age, she placed herself on the highest level.
Jana Matulková, a former competitor of Horšovský Týn, also competed in the races, who rides for Dukla Praha in the K1W and C1W categories. In K1W, she advanced from the first race to the sixth on Saturday. On Sunday, they didn’t do so well as 5 touches on the gates ended in 19th place in the semi-finals. She did not make it to the finals.
In the C1W category, Jana managed to make it to six in the second run on Saturday. On Sunday, this half won clearly and advanced from the first place of the final race. And she again showed her quality by placing on the 3rd place.
Ladislav Hojda can thus not only be a proud father, but also a coach who was able to prepare his daughter for international competitions. They tested the quality of our female competitors, and participation in the final is a great success for female competitors from Horšovskotyn.
Horšovský Týn is a small town in the west of Bohemia, but it already shows great success in the international field.
We thank Ladislav Hojd for the contribution.
