San Marino. Ready to open discussions and the drafts of the interventions of the economic package by the end of the year
The Secretary of State for Industry, Crafts and Commerce, Technological Research, Legislative Simplification of the Republic of San Marino, Fabio Righi presented on Thursday 11 August 2022 in the press conference, the measures that the economic package it has plans to carry out by the end of the year.
The package of interventions is part of a general economic framework that Righi defined as reassuring, whose data are comforting given the international situation. ‘Our economy’, he said ‘is more solid and driving, it is settling into positive numbers that register the establishment of new economic realities, an increase in licensing and fewer terminations, more stable operators and significant growth.’
The economic intervention package joins the other important reforms which, if not accompanied by measures that make the economy grow, risk being reforms of recession and only cuts, the package has the objective of guaranteeing the launch of new entrepreneurial realities and the opening of new markets.
The package is developed on three main lines – simplification, safety and innovation – and proposes 14 interventions between regulatory and infrastructural interventions.
As regards simplification, the interventions are mainly concentrated on the reorganization of the rules on entrepreneurship of economic activities; others will concern condominiums and long-term rentals.
As for safetythe interventions are three and will concern the reorganization of all the offices that are part of the economy department pertaining to the Industry Secretariat as well as a single digitized register of economic activities that can guarantee a real-time analysis of all the data for decision-making strategies and a reduction in intervention times in the event of distortions and a regulation on lobbying activities, all to meet their operational needs in a safety and control logic
The part linked to innovation sees the concentration of the greatest number of interventions ranging from the strengthening of the rules on industrial property, to the subject that reduce the time for resolving disputes, from the relaunching of craftsmanship, to the completion of the rules on virtual assets and blockchain for businesses, from industrial cannabis, to digital identity and rules governing new corporate forms.
‘We will be able to deepen each point with dedicated focuses in upcoming events that will be organized. These are proposals that will be clearly shared but, in addition to a vision, there are all the conditions to bring them to fruition within the current year ‘, concluded Righi.
