Vaduz (ots)
At the invitation of Councilor Graziella Marok-Wachter, Volker Wissing, German Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport, was in Liechtenstein on August 18 and 19, 2022. The focus of the visit was a working meeting between the federal minister and the government councilor. The central contents of this working discussion were current developments in the field of public transport and innovations in the transport sector and the resulting opportunities for climate protection and for better use of existing transport infrastructure. “Due to the many challenges in the transport sector, an exchange with transport ministers from other countries is always extremely valuable. This offers the opportunity to reflect on and further develop one’s own solution approaches,” emphasized Graziella Marok-Wachter.
After the working meeting, the transport ministers visited the Intamin company in Schaan together and learned more about innovative transport solutions “made in Liechtenstein” during a guided tour. During the stay in Liechtenstein, the German Federal Minister also paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Daniel Risch and HSH Hereditary Prince Alois von und zu Liechtenstein.
Federal Minister Volker Wissing’s visit ended with a lunch given by Prime Minister Daniel Risch. During lunch, the ministers exchanged views on digitization issues in the two countries, among other things.
