Tomas Purli’s students are in the semi-finals of the championship in North Macedonia 77:61 (23:18, 16:13, 16:15, 22:15) defeated Greece and will fight for gold on Saturday.

Lithuanians took the initiative from the first minutes and led by Nojaus Indrušaitis gained a record 15-point lead in the middle of the second quarter – 35:20.
However, after the break, the Greeks like our sprint 0:0 and one point remained from the lead (43:44).
The decisive turning point happened at the end of the third quarter – Indrušaitis made a powerful layup, Kasparas Jakučionis nailed a three-pointer, Dovydas Buika scored a point in a quick attack, and Nedas Raupelis ended the quarter with penalties – 55:46.
Having regained the initiative, the Lithuanians did not let it go in the decisive quarter and confidently advanced to the final of the European Championship.
Indrušaitis played the most productively in the ranks of the winners, scoring 20 points in 34 minutes (4/10 doubles, 2/6 triples, 6/7 penalties), 3 rebounds and 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 mistakes.
Playing well in important moments, Jakučionis collected 15 points (2/6 doubles, 3/6 triples, 2/2 penalties), 3 assists, the same number of steals and 4 errors.
