Well place invents the liberal medical practice of tomorrow » PACA’s economic and political newsletter
The start-up is opening its first medical coworking house dedicated to liberal healthcare professionals; In a flexible all-inclusive or à la carte formula, this unique space in France, a sort of “Medical Club” promises to revolutionize the sector.
Well Place is preparing the launch of a national chain of medical buildings with rental of “turnkey” spaces, à la carte; an ecosystem of consultations and community services a? intended for general practitioners, specialists, paramedics and therapists. An offer entirely designed for the well-being of practitioners with a new environment that will shake up their traditional way of exercising; a radical innovation in this conventional sector where burnout is a growing trend. The first establishment will be launched in September in Marseille.
It was in September, in the 10th arrondissement of Marseille, that Well Place opened the first medical coworking house on more than 1300m2, unique in France, the result of 2 years of reflection and listening to the needs of nearly 200 practitioners. Dedicated to health professionals (general practitioners, specialists, paramedical practitioners, therapists, etc.), open 6 days a week by appointment, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., WELL PLACE will offer around forty consultation rooms, provided with the latest generation equipment available to practitioners in an evolving way, 6 waiting rooms, and above all, a whole range of services in a community environment designed for the well-being of caregivers: enough to accommodate a hundred practitioners and 600 to 800 patients a day in the greater serenity and friendliness.
100% EQUIPPED, FLEXIBLE AND A LA CARTE CABINETS FOR EVERYONE
Open for rental on a rolling basis, for a variable period (half-day, day, week, month or year), depending on individual needs, the 39 comfortable and generous consultation rooms will be fully furnished, equipped consultation tables and all the equipment, medical devices and consumables adapted to the specialties. They will provide a pleasant setting for patients and will be suitable for all practitioners whether they are general practitioners, specialists (see list in box), paramedics or therapists (osteopaths, dieticians, psychologists, psychotherapists, speech therapists, etc.).
AN UNPRECEDENTED WORK EXPERIENCE FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS
But the originality of the Well Place formula lies above all in the very essence of its design: improving the quality of life at work for healthcare professionals. To do this, Well Place intends to install its houses in privileged spaces (The first Well Place House in Marseille is located within a green park of more than 6000 m2) and provides a set of shared spaces for Practitioners ( catering area with equipped kitchen, green terrace, meeting rooms, coworking spaces, landscaped garden, rest rooms); a whole range of “well-being” services (changing rooms, shower rooms, personal and medical concierge, sports lessons, private car parks, etc.) as well as events (conferences, networking meetings, workshops, training, etc.) providing access to the Well Place community, the strong point of the concept. An innovation in the sector.
“At a time when healthcare professionals are on the verge of burnout and are increasingly avoiding isolation, we are revolutionizing the medical practice, with a 100% scalable offer and above all, a unique healthcare ecosystem, a community open to all, allowing practitioners to exchange between pairs and rediscover the community spirit of their studies. Because at Well Place, we believe that improving the care pathway depends above all on optimal working conditions for practitioners and direct access to a multidisciplinary community with which to exchange and evaluate. Our unique offer facilitates their practice so that they can concentrate on their core business, care, in complete serenity and conviviality. explains Laurent Dahan, co-founder and President of Well Place.
The icing on the cake: digital tools (connected building, management of schedules via Doctolib, private messaging to exchange between practitioners, reservation of rooms via a dedicated application, connected printers, etc.), administrative support (tele-secretariat, accounting services, portability, sending and receiving mail, etc.) and operational (cleaning, laundry service or car dispatch, meal delivery, etc.) could also be made available by the dedicated “Well Team”: a team of 10 people who will support practitioners who want it.
“Relieving the mental load of practitioners is one of the keys to the Well Place concept. We have created tools and processes that help them think only about their consultations. All Well Place teams and partners work daily with this objective in mind,” adds Michaël Solal, co-founder and Marketing, Sales and Health Director of Well Place.
AND A COMPLETE CARE OFFER FOR PATIENTS
Without forgetting the patients, at the heart of this new concept, because the Well Place Houses are intended to open in areas that need it, which are sorely lacking in health infrastructure, medical services or which are deserted by specialists. With around a hundred practitioners on site, Well Place will allow them to access a complete offer, with a care pathway within the same place open 6 days a week, over very long weekday time slots (7 a.m.- 9 p.m.), which will change their lives. A care pathway that will be all the easier as practitioners will be able to send their patients to their colleagues in one click in the event of an emergency or in need of additional analysis.
The emphasis on well-being, the good management of practitioners with associated services and the “Well Community”, and the formidable patient care pathway with accessibility to more than 100 practitioners in the same place make the originality of this innovative offer that aims to improve the working conditions of practitioners while impacting the quality of patient care.
The first Maison Well Place will open its doors in mid-September 2022, in Marseille, making it the first space of its kind in France. Other openings are announced in France during 2023.
