The 34th International Olympiad in Informatics takes place in Indonesia. Polish people won the silver medal three and one bronze medal Two of them were won by the graduates of the 14th Secondary School of General Education. Stanisław Staszic.
This year’s edition of the exam edition from August 7-15 in the Yogyakarta region of Indonesia. 357t from 89 countries participated in it. 30 gold medals, 58 – silver medals, 89 – distinctions and 34 distinguished ones were awarded.
International Olympiad in Informatics (International Olympiad in Informatics – IOI) for the highest quality information competition for secondary schools. Participants deal with algorithmic-programming tasks. The Polish composition was: Kacper Paciorek, a graduate of the 5th High School August Witkowski in Krakow; Jan Strzeszyński and Michał Stawarz, graduates of the 14th High School Stanisław Staszic in Warsaw; as well as Jeremiasz Preiss, a graduate of the 14th High School Belgian Polonia in Wrocław. In turn, the team of Dr. Piotr Chrząstowski-Wachtel from the University of Warsaw and Dr. Paweł Gawrychowski from the University of Wrocław.
Two silver medals in the hands of Warsaw high school students
Silver medals were won by two graduates of the 14th Secondary School of General Stanisław Staszic in Warsaw: Jan Strzeszyński and Michał Stawarz. This year’s silver medal of Jan Strzeszyński for his second medal at the International Information Technology – in the second Olympics of the year, as a high school student, he won a gold medal.
