the expert told what an unpleasant surprise Putin is preparing — TSN Exclusive — tsn.ua
According to Oleh Zhdanov, Russia is preparing a massive attack on Ukraine. The most dangerous days in the near future may be August 23 and 24.
On the eve of National Flag Day and Independence Day, the military observes a large concentration of enemy aircraft near the Ukrainian borders. Its number at the airfields of Belarus, Crimea and Russia has now reached the number that was at the time of full-scale inclusion on February 24, 2022.
According to experts and the military, these three directions now pose the greatest threat. example, the number of helicopters increased by 110 units, and the total number of air vehicles is 790 (430 planes and 360 helicopters).
In addition, recently, in a telephone conversation with the Chief of Defense Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces, General Wayne Donald Eyre, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi expressed concern over the location of missile systems along the state border from the Republic of Belarus, in particular, at the Zyabrivka airfield. Also in this conversation, Zaluzhnyi explains to a colleague that the most senior from enemy shelling in Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Marganets, Nikopol, Berezneguvate.
TSN.ua asked the military and experts about what are the current risks for Ukraine, where, how, when and in which parts of the enemy can develop combat aviation.
The task of aviation is to support ground forces
“The number of helicopters has increased, from 250 (at the time of the invasion of Ukraine – Ed.) to 360. Their task is to work more on the front line, on the front line, to support the support forces. 25, which are often shot down”, TSN.ua will conclude Yuriy Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to him, all this aircraft of his does not perform tasks in the territories under the control of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Strike groups of 10 aircraft and helicopters
The military emphasizes that enemy aviation is not concentrated in one place. “In addition, if you take into account the number of helicopters, 360, and the huge border line, then for such a length of the border, it is not such a large number,” Yuriy Ignat emphasized.
In turn, answering the question about the possibility of simultaneous use of this aircraft by Russia, the military officer explains the following: “In modern armies, in certain areas, aviation works as part of strike groups. It can be a strike group of planes or helicopters in the number of, for example, 10 units. This is not a movie about the Second World War… In addition, all their aviation is not at one airfield, but scattered around the borders – in the Belarusian Zyabrivka, in the Crimean Dzhankova, in other cities.”
It is still impossible to close something from the rocket
Speaking about the capabilities of Ukrainian air defense, Yuriy Ignat added: “We closed the sky in the controlled territory from the flights of enemy aircraft almost single-handedly. Enemy aircraft do not fly to the places where our fighters and air defenses operate, but we cannot completely close the sky from missile terrorism. The Russians launch missiles from Astrakhan, from the Caspian Sea, from the Black Sea. We cannot shoot down all missiles, no country in the world can shoot down all missiles.”
According to the military, it is quite difficult to predict which objects the Russians may strike in the near future. “An attempt can be made to attack any object. As we can see, not only a military one, but also a civilian one,” the military said.
Planes are recalled due to loss
Simultaneously military expert Oleg Zhdanov notes that the Russians are pulling aviation to our borders due to very heavy losses. “But they have problems in that these are not quite modern planes. We have probably already destroyed all the most modern ones in their situation. By the way, they took some of the planes out of storage, deconserved them and concentrated them around Ukraine. can take off at the same time – they have a very large shortage of pilots. Many pilots, especially those with combat experience, are gone.
The whole of Ukraine is under threat
In other words, taking into account the fact that the types of its missiles were fired by Russia during the shelling (missile range of 600 km and 5,500 km), it can be assumed that the entire territory of Ukraine is under threat.
Once again, Zhdanov does not exclude that the most dangerous days in the near future may be August 23 and 24, when Ukraine celebrates National Flag Day and Independence Day. “Putin is very fond of conspiracies, including numbers. The 23rd and 24th are the holidays that annoy him the most. To say that Putin left us in peace these days would be a contradiction of common sense,” the expert summarized.
earlier, earlier Zhdanov expressed the opinion that on Independence Day in Ukraine can strike from three directions – from Belarus, Russia and the Black Sea.
“In my opinion, preparations are underway in Belarus, and most likely, they will make a massive strike. A mass strike is the involvement of the maximum number of launchers, or the maximum number of launched missiles,” the expert explained on the FreeDom broadcast.
