nice start for the orders of the ID.Buzz
The registered German brand has 10,000 orders for the modern version of the Combi, while the model is not yet visible in dealerships.
Volkswagen has opened ID order books in certain markets. Buzz in the spring, with a Pro version (204 hp engine, 77 kWh battery) at an already steep price. The model is displayed at €56,990 in France, and even almost €65,000 in Germany. We are far from the popular image of the historic Combi.
But these high prices do not scare away customers. Volkswagen has already registered 10,000 orders. That is two thirds of production adapted for 2022. The first market for ID.Buzz is Norway (3,400 units), a country where the electric car is already the majority in sales. Then there is Germany (2,500 copies). Next come the Netherlands (1,100 sales). There is no figure for France yet.

Once the model is in the points of sale, from the end of 2022, and as orders are opened on both sides of the Atlantic, the rates will gradually increase. The brand has assembled 60,000 ID.Buzz in 2023, with the Cargo version, then reaching 130,000 copies in a maximum full year, from 2024.
Production of the ID.Buzz was introduced in June at the Hannover plant. But it was stopped for a few days at the end of June and the beginning of July, due to a quality problem on the batteries. It resumed on July 4.
