Matskafferi draws winners at Sweden Days
SWEDEN — Thank you to everyone who purchased 50/50 raffle tickets from Sweden Food Pantry volunteers and board members. After a flurry of last-minute ticket purchases at Sverigedagarna on Saturday morning, August 6, the winning lottery ticket was drawn at 12:30 outside the historically restored schoolhouse. The winner was Dr. David Sundwall from Sweden and Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Sundwall generously donated his $894.00 in winnings back to the pantry. Thank you very much, Dr. Sundwall.
It is the second year in a row that SFP conducts a 50/50 lottery as an important fundraiser in connection with the popular city event Sweden Days.
Sweden Food Pantry is open on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 11.00-13.00. We serve the cities of Sweden, Lovell, Fryeburg, Stow, Stoneham, Waterford, Harrison and Bridgton. However, we do not turn away any eligible family. For more information, check the Pantry’s website at https://www.swedenfoodpantry.org or its Facebook page.
