Genoa, a serial freeloader identified: he ate at the restaurant and ran away pretending to be ill
The restaurateurs of Genoa are on the trail of a serial scrounger who usually pretends to be ill in order to escape without paying the bill.
Appetizer, first, second and – why not – also sweet. Then, when it comes to paying the bill, just pretend a sickness and flee in an ambulance like the best of Arsenio Lupine: this is what has happened in recent times in several restaurants from Genoa and neighboring areas, where a 67-year-old from Bogliasco has become something of a local celebrity after becoming a full-grown used the aforementioned tactic to go out on his stomach and with a swollen wallet. Ironically, the alarm came from his own rescuers, the Public Assistance staff, obviously suspicious of the frequency with which the man contacted them to be “saved”.
The serial freeloader, in the meantime, he has become a well-known (and probably quite despised) character: an identikit has appeared in the social groups of the Nervi and Quinto neighborhood to warn the bars and restaurants of the eastern coast which describes him as “a man in his seventies, very robust , white crew cut, brings a pair of gray Crocs, enters the premises and orders food and drink, and when it comes to paying he simulates an illness and calls an ambulance ”. What then the scam definitely takes a back seat – gray Crocs in the restaurant? Really.
Seriously, it remains to be clarified if it is a person in difficulty who is forced to resort to tricks of this type to recover a meal, so much so that the rescuers who sound the alarm explained that, if they were asked to pay before go away, he usually admits that he has no money with him. The appeal to restaurateurs, in the meantime, is to join to file a complaint.
