Football – Rodez: Joseph Mendes absent for Annecy, Pierre Bardy applies again
News from the Rodez Aveyron football squad, 48 hours from the 4th day of Ligue 2 seeing Annecy – which has still not been as successful as the Aveyronnais – at Paul-Lignon on Saturday August 20 (7 p.m.).
Facing the Haut-Savoyards, striker Joseph Mendes arrived in Aveyron this summer, holder in the first three games of the season, will not be in the game. Victim of a major malaise on Wednesday morning in training, and evacuated by the emergency services, he was still under observation this Thursday evening at the Rodez hospital, undergoing important examinations. It is therefore not selectable, at least for this appointment.
On the other hand, coach Laurent Peyrelade can count on the return from suspension of his ex-captain, defender Pierre Bardy, even if he might not field him from the start of the match given his personal situation. Note that this week in training, midfielder Antoine Valerio was spared several times, because of a hematoma behind his knee. However, he is applying for a place in the group. Just like defender Joris Chougrani, who is coming back from injury.
Arrived in the middle of the week, players on loan Marvin Senaya and Andy Pembélé should have qualified. Finally, it should be noted that Rémy Boissier received a one-match suspension after a succession of yellow cards received, a sanction he will carry out during the Bastia trip on August 27.
