It was recorded at The Magpie Cage studio in Baltimore, Maryland, with production and mixing by award nominee Grammy Tom Dalgety (GHOST, ROYAL BLOOD, PIXIES) and additional sound engineering by J Robbins (BREAKERWBRAS, AGAINST ME!, THE SWORD).
“The album is a summary of everything that makes the band great and another great leap towards the longevity of their career. New hits like ‘Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)’, ‘Nosferatu Madre’, ‘Skeletons On Mars’, ‘Jackhammer Our Names’ and ‘Mercy Brown’ took their rightful place alongside CLUTCH classics, ‘Sunrise On Slaughter Beach’ is the natural culmination than the CLUTCH musicians they started out as teenagers in the early ’90s.”

“Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)” was released in April with a music video made by David Brodsky from My Good Eye.
Neil Fallon comments on this topic: “In early 2021, I learned that the schematic for the Boss Metal Zone pedal was presented as ‘proof’ that the Covid-19 vaccine had an electronic component to communicate with the 5G mobile networks. It was, of course, a nuisance. It sounded like a Philip K. Dick premise. I didn’t want to write a specific song about Covid-19 vaccines, so I went with the Philip K. Dick angle (again). It came to mind ‘Do androids dream of electric sheep?’ (replicants, in particular, represent what is real and what is not, or is there a difference?). The video does not hide that it is a Tribute to Philip K. Dick and to a future where distortion runs through our veins.”
