Japanese tea ceremony
A graduate of the teaching of the tea ceremony of the school “Dai Nihon Chadou Gakkai” (大日本茶道学会) since 2002, Senkei Onishi has been practicing this ancestral art for more than 25 years, she shared with you all the subtleties of tea and will transport you to the heart of Japanese culture.
Each ceremony lasts about an hour and is limited to a maximum of 4 participants: you learn to respect each step of this artistic and philosophical ritual. This moment includes the welcome by the tea mistress, the tasting of a Japanese pastry and the ceremony of preparing the tea according to the rules of the art.
TIPS TO MAKE THE MOST OF THIS MOMENT:
It is recommended to bring a pair of socks because you must take off your shoes to sit on the tatami mats and to be dressed in loose clothing to be seated comfortably on your knees or cross-legged. Children over 10 years old can participate in the tea ceremony but only accompanied by a relative.
