All summerToulouse news you discover what your district should apply to, in a few years, after the establishment of the metro stations. 20e and penultimate episode of the series: the station Labege Enova.
What you need to know about the Labège Enova station:
The air station Enova, the second based in Labège, between those of the Carrefour shopping center and the La Cadène terminus, will serve a dense business sector, the Enova project, as well as the Diagora Sud convention center and the Gaumont Labège cinema, not to mention the multitude of restaurants that surround it… Enough to make the metro an alternative to the car to reach these different popular places Toulouse people?
Nearby is also the new headquarters of Sicoval, the agglomeration community in the south-east of Toulouse. Today mainly aimed at companies and students, this site is destined to become tomorrow a real urban district, with a mix of shops, services and housing.
Before and after the arrival of the Labège Enova station, here is what the neighborhood will look like:
An open-air metro
From a technical point of view, the metro evaluated here in the open, for an aerial viaduct-tunnel. After stopping at Labège Enova, it will make a curve to follow the road leading to the cinema, and will end its journey at La Cadène, the terminus of the 3e line.
Tisséo table on 3,100 passengers per day maximum for this reinforced station in this emerging district, which was still only a virgin site a few years ago. Which makes it on paper the second least mentioned station of the 3e line, just ahead of that of the Seven Deniers Stade Toulousain (2,900).
The facilities planned at Labège Enova:
Still within the framework of Enova, local authorities here want to promote intermodality “between pedestrian travel, cycles and public transport”. Tisséo thus indicates that, in parallel with the development of the new district, a drop-off and parking favoring alternative modes (car-sharing, carpooling, local bikes, etc.) will be found “in the immediate vicinity of the station”. In addition, “a pedestrian route” will make it possible to “join the public transport support axes of Occitane and Jean Rostand”, supports Tisséo.
Note that this sector is now served by the bus line 79 to the Ramonville metro station, the bus line 204 to the Labège Innopole railway station, and the bus line 109 in the direction of Malepère.
