Andorra promotes a scholarship program for the training and professionalization of young artists
ANDORRA LA VELLA (ANDORRA), 18 Aug. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Govern d’Andorra has promoted a new scholarship program for the training and professionalization of young artists in the country, the Executive reported in a statement this Thursday.
The objective of the program is to respond to the training needs of these artists and “find solutions to the lack of certain services and artistic training programs that exist” in Andorra.
The Government has explained that the scholarships will facilitate training
in international centers specialized in students with “special talents and great potential”, and will promote their participation in international competitions to promote their artistic career.
It is expected that this year a maximum of three scholarships can be awarded, for any artistic discipline, with a total budget of 10,000 euros.
The grants are divided into two modalities: one for young people between 12 and 17 years old, and another for artists who will be between 18 and 22 years old.
In the presentation of the program this Thursday, the Minister of Culture and Sports of Andorra, SÃlvia Riva, said that the initiative is “one more element of support for creation, to continue weaving a virtuous circle for all artists”, also from the start of his career.
