the tram resumes service
The tram is running again in Toulouse this Wednesday, August 17, 2022. However, the T1 line remains interrupted. The stations between Ancely and MEETT will not be served until August 26th.
This is good news for tram users in Toulouse. It is actually resumption of service in Toulouse this Wednesday, August 17 2022 after several weeks of shutdown. As some may have noticed, it was already running yesterday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. but empty. The trains were indeed operating without passengers “in view of the resumption of the T2 line in its entirety”, specified Tisséo on its website.
Indeed, line T2 once again serves all of its stops. But the T1 line remains closed between Ancely and MEETT until August 26th. As a reminder, the two tram lines in Toulouse have not been running since July 25. In question: the creation of a partial terminus at Odyssud to “better serve the airport area and Blagnac”.
Work to increase tram frequency
“The creation of a partial terminus at Odyssud will make it possible to increase the frequency of passage of the tramway to Blagnac and the airport area, i.e. 4 minutes 30 in rush hour instead of 9 minutes currently. The increase in frequency responds to a growing demand for travel, and will thus ultimately improve travel conditions,” emphasizes Jean-Michel Lattes, President of Tisséo Collectivités and Tisséo Ingénierie.
This work is part of the planned developments between the future Blagnac – Jean Maga metro station and Toulouse-Blagnac airport with a view to creating the Airport Express Line (LAE). The latter will allow you to reach the airport in seven minutes (between Jean Maga and Blagnac).
