If Russia stops gas supplies to Germany, fuel reserves will last for 2.5 months. About it declared German Federal Agency President Klaus Müller, pointing out that this risk remains even with a 95% vault seizure by November.
Now the storages are 77% full, loading is two weeks ahead of schedule. Earlier it was indicated that these indicators are achieved through austerity.
In Germany, it will be difficult to meet the goal of filling gas storage facilities by 85% by October, given the risk that the coming autumn will be colder than use, according to Muller, quoted by Bloomberg. In addition, the possibility of regulating interruptions in gas supplies is excluded. Reaching the November target will also be difficult, Mueller said, as some storage has more time to load.
“I can’t promise that all gas storage facilities in Germany will be 95% delayed in November even if there is a balance between supply and demand. In the best case, only three quarters have been achieved, ”says a representative of the regulator.
Russia consumed supplies to Germany via the Nord Stream gas pipeline, which exacerbated the consumption crisis in the country. The German authorities are talking about reducing the cost of gas consumption and a warning that the rationing of fuel costs may be assigned in winter.
Earlier it was reported that Gazprom decided to use power the onshore part of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which has become a medical one for the United States, for gasification of the northwestern regions of the country.
