The Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League met on Wednesday to decide on the various sanctions to be imposed following the last matches in French professional football. It was particularly a question of Vitinha, a 22-year-old midfielder from Paris Saint-Germain who took 3 yellow cards in less than 10 games (from the first 3 even). He therefore had to be automatically suspended for one match and the LFP decided to stay with this sanction.

As for Vitinha, it would have been very surprising if a yellow card was overturned. A decision which is also extremely rare, even if it is not totally impossible if there is a major error by the referee. The suspension will be valid from next Tuesday, so the Portuguese will miss the reception of Monaco on Sunday August 28 (4th day).
