How could 40 “lateral thinkers” disrupt Weil’s SPD appearance?
Lower Saxony state election
Around 40 members of the “lateral thinking” scene loudly disrupted the SPD election campaign start with Prime Minister Stephan Weil on Tuesday. Apparently, the actors use a weak point of the event. The scene has been reinventing itself for a long time and resorting to ever more drastic methods.
Hanover. From the SPD’s point of view, Tuesday in the Lister Turm beer garden should be the happy start to the campaign for the state elections in Lower Saxony. But instead of the event, at which Prime Minister Stephan Weil also spoke, it was characterized by the loud disruptive action of the lateral thinkers scene. The participants had mingled with the visitors, chanting “Because we have to go” and “War mongers”. The Hanover police separate the two camps with a human chain. How could it come to this?
Initially, the protesters took advantage of the fact that the election campaign was open to the public – everyone was allowed to come. The police had been prepared, among other things, by the messenger service Telegram, which was welcomed by “Querdenkern”. According to spokesman Michael Bertram, the officers formed a chain as the disruptors “went towards the stage”. Even before the beer garden operator could enforce his domiciliary rights, the police classified the small rally as a gathering and assigned it the parking lot in front of the Lister Tower. Bertram: “This restriction was removed within a few minutes.”
