former star wants to return to Ghana national team
Asamoah Gyan, who hasn’t played for a year and a half, wants to go to the World Cup, where his team is Portugal’s opponent.

At the age of 36 (he will be 37 on the 22nd of the day, two days after the start of the Qatar World Cup), the striker revealed that he had started a November of physical preparation in mind to participate, for the fourth time, in the final phase of a World Championship. “I still have the talent, so I just have to prepare myself physically,” he commented.
Gyan didn’t hide that “the World Cup is every player’s dream” and later assured: “I think I still have the energy and me to prove my worth. I’m following an eight-week program and after seeing how my body reacts playing football competitively.”
Gyan also assured that he has not yet spoken with the coach Otto Addo because, he says, “to be sure” that he is in conditions.
Ghana will make its World Cup debut against Portugal on 24 November, then face South Korea and Uruguay.
